Dear Parishioners:

  • HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY ….. To all Mothers, we give thanks to God for you, who have been a true Gift from God and a Blessing to us as sons and daughters.  To all Mothers who have gone before us, our prayer this day and always is that God’s promise of Eternal Life be granted to all of you as we confidently ask in continue celebrating Easter Season

Borrow the Blessing from the Bible, we ask God to Bless ALL of our Mothers:

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Numbers 6:22-26).

  • As many of you may know, today Governor Inslee announced he will be extending the stay-at-home order until May 31st.  It is clear our current restrictions are still in place.  Governor Inslee shared his “four phases of re-opening”.   He has made it clear that protocols must be in place before re-opening businesses in Phase 1.

We recognize that our state appears more restrictive than other states. This undoubtedly frustrates many people.  We must remind ourselves that we were in the initial U.S. epicenter of this pandemic.  Social distancing has allowed us to suppress the coronavirus and is vital for us to protect the common good and all the vulnerable among us.

Also, please remember that while we cannot physically gather, we are still a strong spiritual community.  It is more important now to stay connected and accompany one another through this crisis.  Thank you for many of parishioners and staffs who continue to help our parish community to celebrate events of “re-consecration and Crowning” in a meaningful and respectful.

  • As we will begin a new month of May, where the Church traditionally celebrate our Blessed Mother, Mary in a special way; the Legion of Mary members and other Marian Groups will invite us to pray together as a community before Mass the “Mysteries of the Rosarya meditative prayer in the life of Jesus and our Blessed Mother, Mary”.
  • May this tradition and our “common prayerthe Rosary” extending to our family at home and in our own individual time, the necessity of praying always.
  • Congratulation to Archbishop Paul D. Etienne on his first anniversary since the appointment as coadjutor Archbishop of Seattle on April 29, 2019. This coming June 7, 2020 will be one year that Archbishop Etienne with our Archdiocese.  Thank you for your leadership in our Archdiocese in this difficult time of coronavirus pandemic.

Christ’s Peace,
Fr. Phuong Hoang
