WINTER BAZAAR COMMITTEE

OUR MISSION IS TO RAISE MONEY TO HELP THE NEEDY IN OUR COMMUNITY.

THE BAZAAR IS THE FIRST FULL WEEKEND IN NOVEMBER (FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY)

Over the last several years our Winter Bazaar has generated from $12,000 to $20,000 during our weekend events. Keeping a small amount of seed money to prepare for the next year's event we donate every other dollar we raise to local charities that support the needy in our community.

Last Year's 2022 Donations went to:

  1. ST VINCENT DE PAUL – SCHOOL SHOES FOR 89 CHILDREN AND SPECIAL PROJECTS
  2. BENEDICT HOUSE FOR CLOTHES, HATS, OR WHATEVER IS NEEDED
  3. HELPLINE FOR DOG AND CAT FOOD FOR THE NEEDY
  4. SOUTH KITSAP BACKPACKS FOR KIDS TO FEED NEEDY KIDS IN OUR COMMUNITY
  5. BREMERTON BACKPACK BRIGADE

2021 Proceeds went to:

  1. ST VINCENT DE PAUL FOR SCHOOL SHOES FOR 83 CHILDREN AND SPECIAL PROJECTS (TENTS, TARPS, FLASHLIGHTS, AND HELPED PROVIDE DENTAL CARE FOR A PERSON IN NEED)
  2. SOUTH KITSAP HELPLINE
  3. COFFEE OASIS IN PORT ORCHARD TO HELP NEEDY YOUTH
  4. STELLA MARIS HOUSE – HOUSING FOR WOMEN IN TRANSITION

WANT TO LEND YOUR TALENTS AND HANDS TO AN AMAZING OUTREACH GROUP?

  • We meet monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month from 12-2 pm
  • We work year-long in preparation for our bazaar, dedicating our time and talent, as we can, to make crafts, gifts, baskets, and more for our events.
  • We have a sewing group that meets every other week on Fridays from 10-2 p.m. in the Faith Formation Wing.
    • As the bazaar gets closer, they moved to weekly Friday's
    • These meets are not mandatory, you may still sew from home. It's just an opportunity for us to work together in fellowship.
  • Not a Crafter or Sewer, You can still get involved...
    • Are you comfortable with computers? You can volunteer to be our computer person.
      • We need help creating Flyers, Signs, & Social Posts
      • Word and Excel skills would be helpful as well.
    • Help with Setup and Take Down of the Bazaar
    • Be a cashier for a few hours on the days of.
  • DONATIONS
    • We accept donations for Arts & Crafts for the Bazaar
    • We accept Clean & Gently Used Christmas and Gift Items, as well as toys for our "Twice Loved Store". 
    • Local Businesses and Parishioners also provide donations for the many gift baskets we sell and raffle off.
  • 50/50 Tickets
    • We start selling 50/50 raffle tickets in August.
      • The proceeds from ticket sales are split 50/50 between one individual winner and the charities we have chosen to support for the event.
  • Gift Baskets
    • Through the donations we collect, we make wonderful gift baskets that we sell or raffle off.
