Bazaar News, Needs & Notes

Winter Bazaar 2026

Our Winter Bazaar is St. Gabriel's largest fundraiser benefiting local outreach and charitable programs.

Over the years, this fantastic group of women has worked year-round stitching,
crafting, collecting, and preparing for the following year's bazaar.
Proceeds have benefited programs like: Coats for Kids, Backpacks for Kids,
Family Kitchen, St. Gabe's Holiday Food Box Program, St. Vincent de Paul, and many more.

The last 4 years in a row, they have raised over $20,000 in proceeds.
Except for a small amount of seed money for next year's bazaar,
every dollar is earmarked for charity.

While the success is in large part due to the hard work of members of the ministry,
gratitude must also be shared for the generosity of our parishioners, local businesses, and the local community at large.

Thank you for helping us share the Gospel Message.

The Winter Bazaar has set its dates! 1st Weekend of November falling on the 6th, 7th, & 8th.

They are also breathing some new life into their team with the formation of a new Knitting & Crocheting Group.

Here are some early updates and invites from the ministry:

Their new Knitting and Crocheting group’s first meeting will be Monday, March 16th, at 10AM, in room7 in the Ed-wing. If you know how to knit or crochet, bring your projects or start a new one. If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, we will teach you how.

We are looking for knitters and crocheters to make hats, scarves, gloves, etc. If you need yarn for your projects, we had 5 large garbage bags of all kinds of yarn donated, come and see what we have.

All are welcome and feel free to bring a friend.

The Sewing and Craft groups are busy making things for the Bazaar. The sewing group meets every other Friday at 10 AM in the Ed wing. The next meeting will be on March 13th. You do not need to sew to help out. You can cut out patterns, iron, or whatever they need help with. You can bring ideas and patterns to share. You do not need to sew when you come to the meeting; you can sew at home.

The team is also beginning to accept donations. If you are downsizing, cleaning out your attic, or getting new Christmas decorations, please bring your donations of clean, gently used items to the Bazaar table in the religious ed wing. This will give us time to sort and price them for the Bazaar.

And if crafting is not your thing, you can still join in with the group and help with other needs. The Bazaar Committee meets the second Monday of each month at noon in the community room. All are welcome. Join us, share your ideas, and help us make this year’s Bazaar a success. Thank you for your support.
