Mark McKibben has been a resident of Gig Harbor since moving almost 25 years ago with his wife of 48 years Corrine and their daughter. Having grown up in Central Wisconsin, don’t be surprised if you hear a different accent.
Mark brings his 30 years of Liturgical background, starting as an Altar Server Coordinator and becoming the Head Sacristan at our St Nicholas Campus 24 years ago. He has worked with 5 different pastors and 4 Deacons, so understands the complexity and challenge in working through the changes his Pastors have directed him to implement.
As the Director of Liturgy, he expands his role as Head Sacristan St. Nicholas, over the entire Parish Family, executing and implementing the directives set forth by the Pastor in regards to Liturgy. He is not the “Head Liturgist” per se, that is role maintained in our case by Fr. Mark.
At the root of Mark’s Role is to see that every person who comes to church has what they need to participate and worship in the Mass and that every liturgical minister is equipped to perform in their roles.
