Council and Commissions

Pastoral Council:
The parish pastoral is a consultative body to the pastor. Its purpose is to examine, consider, and draw conclusions concerning matters under discussion in order to recommend a course of action to the pastor. Through Pastoral planing, the council assists the pastor in; developing and living out the mission of the parish forming community as a sign and witness of unity for the parish community, provide recommendations for parish priorities, direction and policies, and promote communication among parish organizations. The Pastoral Council meest in the Library the second Thursday of each month at 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. This meeting is open to all parishoners and is parishioners in good standing can volunteer. Finance Council:
Is a consultative council that advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Assist the pastor by; conducting long rang financial planing with regard to funding operational and capital needs of the parish, provide financial analysis of current fiscal reports, develop and overseeing parish the parish budget process.

Faith Formation Commission:
The Faith Formation Commission assists the pastor develop and implement a faith formation plan. The Commission assess parish needs for faith formation and ensure that the parish offer faith formation to all parish members. Ensure the quality faith formation programs are implemented. 

Liturgy Commission:
The Liturgy Commission assists the pastor in aching the goal of full, conscious, and active participation of the people of the Eucharist, as stated in the Constitution on Sacred Liturgy. Advise and support the pastor on the spirituality and prayer life of the parish community. The Liturgy Commission under the direction of the pastor provide oversight of parish liturgy ministries. 

Life, Justice and Peace Commission:
The purpose of the Justice and Peace Commission is to assist the parish in the promotion and implementation of Catholic social teaching. The Commission assists the pastor “to foster works through which the spirit of the gospel is promoted, even that which pertains to social justice” The Commission assist the parish to be a witness of charity and justice to the larger community. Ensure the Education of staff, consultative groups, and parish at large regarding Catholic social teaching. Engage in strategic planning, policy development and recommendations in the area of Catholic social teachings. 

Facilities Committee:
Assists the Pastor in the work of overseeing the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Parish facilities and grounds. Conduct short and long range facility planing and works with the Financial Committee to establish budgets to support parish needs.
